Terms of Use

Agreement

These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Zelicra Technologies Private Limited, a company registered in Kerala, India ("Zelicra", "we", "us"), for your use of the Zelicra PC Emulator Android app (the "App") and this website. By installing or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

The App is intended for users aged 13 and over. If you are under the age of majority where you live, a parent or guardian must agree to these Terms for you.

Your licence to use the app

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the App on Android devices you own or control, for lawful purposes. The App's own code is proprietary to Zelicra. Except as allowed by law or by the open-source licences described below, you may not copy, modify, sell, rent or redistribute the App's proprietary parts, or remove any proprietary notices.

Open-source components

The App includes open-source software, such as QEMU (GPL-2.0-or-later), GLib (LGPL-2.1-or-later), pixman (MIT), libslirp (BSD-3-Clause), SeaBIOS (LGPL-3.0) and EDK II firmware (BSD-2-Clause-Patent). Each component is licensed to you under its own licence, and nothing in these Terms limits your rights under those licences. Operating systems you run

The App does not include, sell or license any guest operating system. You choose and supply the disk images and installers you run. You are solely responsible for making sure you have the right to use them, including holding a valid licence for any operating system or software that requires one (for example, Microsoft Windows), and for complying with that software's licence terms. Download operating systems only from their official sources.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use the App to:

• break any law, or infringe anyone's intellectual property or other rights;
• run, create or distribute malware, or attack, disrupt or gain unauthorised access to any system or network;
• use software you are not licensed to use.

You are responsible for what you do inside your virtual machines and for the network traffic they generate.

Pro purchases

The App is free. An optional Pro upgrade will be offered as a one-time in-app purchase of USD 4.99 (or the local price shown by Google Play) through Google Play's billing system. Pro will unlock Zelicra Stream when that feature ships; Pro is not on sale yet. Purchases, payments and refunds are handled by Google Play under Google's terms and refund policies. A purchase is a licence to use the Pro features in the App, tied to the Google account you bought it with.

Performance and your device

The App emulates a computer in software. It does not use hardware virtualization, because Android does not allow it for apps like this. Speed depends on your phone. Lightweight systems work best; heavy desktops are slow; some operating systems or software may not run at all. Emulation keeps your phone's processor busy, which uses battery and produces heat. Features described as "coming" or "in development" are not yet available and may change.

No warranty

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the App and this website are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free or able to run any particular operating system. Virtual machine disks can be corrupted (for example, if the App is stopped during a write), so keep backups of anything that matters.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Zelicra will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, revenue or goodwill, arising from your use of, or inability to use, the App or this website. Our total liability for any claim relating to the App is limited to the amount you paid us for the App in the twelve months before the claim (which is zero if you have not bought Pro). Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

Trademarks

Zelicra and the Zelicra logo are trademarks of Zelicra Technologies Private Limited. Android and Google Play are trademarks of Google LLC. QEMU is a trademark of Fabrice Bellard. Windows and other names are trademarks of their respective owners. Zelicra is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by any of them.

Changes and termination

We may update these Terms. When we do, we will post the new version on this page and update the effective date. If you keep using the App after a change, the updated Terms apply. You can stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or end your licence if you seriously breach these Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or the App is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Kerala, India. If you are a consumer, this does not take away any mandatory protection you have under the law of the country where you live.
